About The Position
This is a physically demanding, in-person warehouse position involving physical labor and handling metal materials, with the ability to withstand the elements. The company seeks hardworking applicants interested in stability and opportunities to grow their skills. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Pay is $16–$22 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish; Spanish is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1–2 years of construction or warehouse experience.
- Ability to work under high pressure and maintain high work quality with minimum supervision.
- Well-organized, with initiative and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to undergo a drug test and background check.
- Ability to commute to Harvey, IL 60426.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift or Bobcat experience is desirable but not required.
Responsibilities
- Verify received items by comparing purchase orders with packing lists or invoices.
- Physically load and unload scrap metal materials in shipping containers.
- Sort scrap metal materials by type.
- Manage inventory.
- Lift 50 pounds or greater.
