About The Position

The Warehouse Associate safely receives, picks, packs, preps, puts away, and ships products using established processes, procedures, and production rates. Associates are cross-trained across departments and may be assigned receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and put-away duties according to business and operational needs. The position is based at Sephora’s Perryman Distribution Center in Perryman, Maryland.

The role requires following company, state, and OSHA safety rules and Loss Prevention policies; maintaining regular attendance and a flexible schedule; responding proactively to leadership direction; and providing high-quality service to internal and external customers. The position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The work takes place in office and warehouse environments with moderate but varying temperature and humidity. Physical demands include standing, sitting, squatting, lifting, and walking throughout the scheduled shift, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour; certain schedules may also qualify for shift differential pay.

Requirements

• Familiarity with WMS picking procedures or previous experience using menu-driven applications.
• Familiarity with warehouse layouts or ability to learn them.
• Ability to operate RF terminals to receive, pick, and replenish warehouse products.
• Ability to pack products using preferred methods.
• Basic math skills and ability to match numbers.
• Ability to be cross-trained in receiving, picking, packing, put-away, and shipping processes.
• Ability to understand other business functions as they apply to the position.
• Ability to work closely and effectively with others and promote teamwork.
• Positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
• Ability to stand, sit, squat, lift, and/or walk for the duration of the scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive and stock products, and pick, pack, prepare, and ship orders to retail stores and online customers according to established procedures.
• Follow company, state, and OSHA safety rules and policies, wear proper work attire, and report safety violations or potential violations to appropriate personnel.
• Comply with company Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule, work designated shifts, and work overtime when requested based on business and operational needs.
• Respond proactively to direction from Shift Coordinators, management, and other departmental personnel.
• Provide high-quality internal and external customer service.
• Cross-train and perform receiving, picking, packing, put-away, and shipping assignments as business needs require.
