Warehouse Assistant
About The Position
Join our team at the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo and grow your warehouse skills by helping to ensure the right supplies and materials reach the right teams! The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is seeking a part-time, seasonal Warehouse Assistant who will work with the other Warehouse team members and and be responsible for assisting with the daily distribution of goods to outlets throughout the Zoo. Requirements
- A valid Driver’s License is required
- Ability to work together as part of a team and independently to complete daily tasks and assignments
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of at least a high school diploma is preferred; other combinations of experience and education will be considered
- Customer service experience is an asset
- Food safety certification is an asset
Responsibilities
- Receive products in the warehouse
- Verify goods against the invoices / packing slips
- Check all fresh goods to ensure the quality and quantity is acceptable
- Adhere to proper storage, rotation, control and cleanliness of the storage areas
- Deliver and put away products in various food and beverage locations throughout the zoo
- Complete daily In-house transfer form for each transfer
- Assist with month-end inventory counts and reporting
- Ensure that receiving area and storeroom are kept clean and accessible
