About The Position

Creative Safety Supply is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and team-focused Warehouse Assistant Supervisor to support the leadership and growth of the Warehouse Department. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Team Leads to ensure operations run efficiently, support and develop team members, and meet safety and process standards. The role involves monitoring workflows, improving processes, and training employees on warehouse equipment and procedures. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, problem-solving in a fast-paced environment, and contributing to a strong, collaborative team.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred
3+ years of previous Warehouse experience; or a combination of education and experience
2+ years of management experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint , etc.)
Ability to quickly learn new systems (computer software)
An upbeat and welcoming personality
Effective communicator, both written and verbally in English
Ability to prioritize, delegate, and organize multiple tasks or projects while meeting strict deadlines
Shows initiative and looks for ways to improve the organization
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Able to work and collaborate with other department leaders
Ability to troubleshoot or problem-solve unexpected issues

Responsibilities

Works closely with Warehouse Team leads to ensure efficient warehouse operations
Assists Team Leads as necessary with opening and/or closing tasks
With the Warehouse Manager, encourages the team to ensure goals and metrics are met
Maintains warehouse inventory processes to ensure warehouse organization
Participates in annual inventory checks (or more as needed)
Uses data to suggest process changes that focus on maximizing efficiency
Collaborates with Warehouse Manager to develop goals and strategies for warehouse operations
Assists other departments with questions about inventory or warehouse processes
Assists HR and Warehouse Manager to update and train staff on all safety protocols
Acts as a backup to the Warehouse Manager and covers for Team Leads as necessary
Performs other duties as assigned
Assist the Warehouse Manager in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new warehouse employees as needed; provide support to Team Leads in new employee onboarding
Maintains and delegates preventative maintenance and warehouse maintenance to trained warehouse team members
Provides coaching to the team as necessary
Assists the Warehouse Manager with annual reviews
