About The Position

This is a temp-to-full-time position where the Warehouse Admin will perform an array of functions accurately and efficiently. These functions may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, administrative duties, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse, understanding specific needs of each customer. The role also involves operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. The position requires maintaining a safe and clean work environment, organizing the warehouse, wearing proper safety equipment, and following safety rules. The Warehouse Admin will also provide backup for the Facility Manager when they are not present and ensure all specific customer requirements are met. Communication with customers and carriers is essential for timely movement of orders. Administrative duties will be performed using Classic WMS and customer systems.

Requirements

  • 1-2 yrs previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Inventory, equipment maintenance, data entry and computer skills may be required
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be willing to submit to a national background check

Responsibilities

  • Perform an array of functions accurately and efficiently that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, administrative duties, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse understanding specific needs of each customer.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Supports administrative needs of daily warehouse operations – Inbound/outbound documentation.
  • Works directly with customers to ensure their orders/receipts and inventory levels are maintained.
  • Works directly with carriers to schedule loads both inbound/outbound as required by customer.
  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise accurately.
  • Prepares orders by processing orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; wrapping pallets as needed and placing orders in delivery area.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Maintains inventory controls.
  • May assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Prepare parcels for shipment and performs shipping through carrier system.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping work area clean and organized. Sweep, dust, and mop as required.
  • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times following company policies.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
  • Follow safety rules as listed in safety manual.
  • Hand unload, sort, and segregate product from inbound ocean containers.
  • Operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Provide backup for Facility Manager when Facility Manager is not present.
  • Ensure all specific customer requirements are understood and their needs are met.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with customers as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties using Classic WMS and customer’s system/s as needed.
  • Communicate with carriers as needed to ensure timely movement of customer orders.
