About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a Full-Time Ward Clerk in our Gastroenterology West Endoscopy Center in Southwest Portland. You will work alongside a collaborative team of patient-focused colleagues and physicians, contributing to our mission of delivering world-class care with kindness and empathy. This role is crucial in ensuring patients receive the highest value care by providing a consistent, efficient, and easy experience. You will utilize excellent customer service and communication skills to support patient flow and maintain a safe, organized environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to take initiative, work efficiently and independently while supporting patient flow and operational needs in a high-volume outpatient setting.
  • Ability to maintain clean, safe, and patient-ready care spaces.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage supplies, linens, and equipment inventories.
  • Ability to identify and report safety, equipment, or facility concerns.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn departmental systems and processes.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and clean pre- and post-procedure bays between patients.
  • Stock and maintain supplies in patient care areas.
  • Assemble and maintain patient-ready bed and linen packs to support efficient patient flow throughout the day.
  • Perform or assist with endoscope reprocessing according to protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Collaborate with nursing and technical staff to support patient flow and safety.
  • Assist with Supply Clerk responsibilities for as needed coverage which can include coordinating/receiving deliveries, managing the ordering process, handling returns, recalls, and recycling. This can also include coordinating repairs for equipment and instruments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in accordance with infection prevention standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement, safety, and ongoing training initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
