About The Position

About the Role & Program The Walt Disney Television Unscripted & Alternative Entertainment team is looking for an intern to join their team to have an opportunity to learn more about our unscripted programming and ABC Network and Hulu’s reality programming. Our ABC slate includes: The Bachelor franchise, Shark Tank, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Celebrity Family Feud, Jimmy Kimmel Live; as well as original programming for Hulu including The Kardashians, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and Vanderpump Villa. We also oversee awards shows and specials include “The Oscars,” “Dick Clark's New Years Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, “The CMA Awards” and more. We are a team that is passionate about unscripted television. We work to discover new trends with a finger on the pop culture pulse. This is a full-time internship, and the approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through August 2026. If selected for the role, you will report directly to the Manager, Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment. What You Will Do WDTV is seeking an Unscripted Programming Intern who will be an outstanding addition to our growing team. As an unscripted programming intern, you will experience the day-to-day efforts of a premier streaming network. You will gain an exclusive understanding of what it takes to produce unscripted series and a stronger knowledge of the entertainment industry overall. As a member of the team, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with all Original Content sub-teams including Post, Production Management, Marketing, PR, Legal, Business Affairs, Finance and Data teams. The ideal candidate for this opportunity is a TV superfan who exhibits intellectual curiosity, thinks critically and creatively, possesses strong attention to detail and employs a proactive approach to problem solving. Requirements

  • Experience working in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, Airtable, and Adobe Suite.
  • Experience working in Mac computer systems.
  • Prior related internship experience, ideally in unscripted content.
  • A curiosity in unscripted television and hunger to learn.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a constantly evolving work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior administrative experience is a plus.
  • Experience in covering desks and phone lines for executives and/or senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of current series on ABC, Hulu and other networks/streamers is a plus, along with a passion for television.

Responsibilities

  • Updating Reports: Research various topics and update current reports using Microsoft Suite.
  • View and sort Pitch Material: Look at pitch material that has been submitted to see what types of shows are being pitched.
  • Screen Cuts: View cuts of current shows we have in production before they go on air.
  • Administrative Duties: Cover phones, schedule meetings, update reports and more
  • Support in department wide creative projects such as tracking IP, building casting decks, etc.
