About The Position

Stonebridge at Montgomery, a Springpoint Senior Living Community in Skillman, New Jersey, is seeking experienced Waiters/Waitresses. The role takes food and beverage orders and efficiently delivers items to dining room guests. The position is offered full-time and part-time, with a stated hourly rate of $16.50–$17. Full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• Prior Waiter/Waitress experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room and take food and beverage orders efficiently while following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food-handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up with guests periodically to assist with additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink combinations when requested, accommodate reasonable requests, and note preferences.
• Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
• Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Communicate exceptionally and work well with others; remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
• Promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information or complaints directly to the supervisor.
• Set up the dining room before service and restore it afterward, keeping the area clean and neat and meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea and soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff from other departments to perform duties during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
