About The Position
Come join us at Carmel Terrace as a Wait Staff/ Server! A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short and Long-term care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents. Located on lush, manicured lawns and gardens in Framingham, MA, we are just minutes from Route 9 for easy access to the Mass Pike.
Requirements
- High School diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be dependable and reliable, flexible in work duties and willing to go above and beyond expectations.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in food services and preparation in Long Term Care, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive, caring, and helpful manner with residents, family members, and other staff.
- Work effectively within a team, receiving and offering direction and feedback as needed.
- Learn how to check for dietary changes, dismissals and transfers prior to tray-line service.
- Learn to assure accuracy of the resident’s meal tray specifications.
- Understand and communicate knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling.
- Ensure that infection control practices are always maintained and followed.
- Work other jobs within the Dietary Department as necessary.
