We are seeking a VTC Lead to join our team supporting DLA VOC. Requirements

  • Two to Five (5) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience including at least two projects in technical areas, including networking and/or Cisco Video Tele-Conferencing.
  • At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years.
  • Additional experience in the Video Teleconferencing arena, including deployment, troubleshooting, and supporting VTCs in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written; must be able to provide leadership for other VTC Administrators and training for new VTC Administrators.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the requirements of a product/project from inception to conclusion.
  • Develop required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems.
  • Lead and coordinate with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
  • Work independently as a VTC Lead performing as shift lead duties for first, second, or third shifts, providing guidance and direction to VTC admins on the same shift in the VOC, VTC Operations Center.
  • Perform duties of VTC administrator while performing duties of junior engineer and/or VTC Lead.
  • Provide 24/7 support for critical service issues, including fault isolation, remediation, performance analysis, and incident management for DLA VTC infrastructure.
  • Actively monitor Flag, SES, GO, Synergy Sky, and secure calls; passively monitor non-Flag/SES/GO calls with active support as required.
  • Ensure proper setup and functionality of VTC meetings, with a focus on high-level events attended by FLAG/SES employees.
  • Provide Tier II technical support to VTC facilitators and troubleshoot connectivity, audio, or video issues.
  • Assist with the provisioning and setup of Haivision Set-Top Boxes (STB) or comparable devices.
  • Ensure timely fault identification and remediation within 24 hours and manage associated tickets using DLA ITOC Remedy system.
  • Manage and monitor SV/IPTV/Digital Signage infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain user accounts and provide training on the creation and management of content templates.
  • Provide weekly and monthly status reports on SV/IPTV/Digital Signage infrastructure performance.
  • Create and revise documentation, including CONOPS, SOPs, quick start guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Provide over-the-shoulder and remote training to DLA personnel on VOC activities, including infrastructure configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Assist VTC users and operators with scheduling and managing VTCs using government-provided software tools.
  • Manage the HMP systems to ensure accurate and relevant content is published to STB devices at DLA facilities.
  • Coordinate basic maintenance with VTC Engineers at various DLA facilities.
