About The Position

Incarnation Catholic School is seeking a passionate, experienced, and energetic VPK Teacher to lead an early childhood class for the upcoming school year. The teacher will be committed to the ministry, philosophy, and goals of Catholic education and have a strong understanding of the structure and requirements of Florida’s VPK program. Responsibilities include planning engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Florida VPK standards; supporting children’s development; maintaining a safe and welcoming classroom; complying with licensing, safety, and VPK requirements; completing assessments and documentation; and communicating with families. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of the structure and requirements of the State of Florida VPK program.
• Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening is required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Florida VPK standards.
• Nurture and support each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Create a safe, positive, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Ensure children are actively supervised at all times.
• Ensure compliance with facility licensing, safety protocols, and VPK program requirements.
• Conduct regular child assessments and maintain accurate documentation, including attendance, as required by VPK guidelines.
• Establish and maintain effective, open communication with parents and guardians.
