About The Position

The Technology Lead Project Manager is a senior-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to join our front-office Equities Technology group as a senior-level Technology Lead Project Manager. In this hybrid Business Analyst and Project Manager role, you will collaborate directly with the trade floor business unit to develop and enhance our strategically important Cash Low Touch platform. The Equities business has set an ambitious growth plan, and a strong BA/PM is critical to achieving our goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing our leading position in the financial market by owning the analysis and project management for key technology initiatives benefiting the Cash Equities, Delta 1, and Derivatives businesses. The overall objective is to contribute to the continuous, iterative exploration of business performance, liaise between business users and technologists, and drive business planning. You will be part of the Global Cash Equities Low Touch BA/PM team, working alongside highly experienced technologists with resources across London, Belfast, New York, New Jersey, Toronto, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Pune.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis.
  • Front-office experience in Equities, particularly Cash Equities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in presenting and using planning tools.
  • Exposure to Agile project management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience using AI tools to drive efficiencies.
  • Proven diplomatic and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs.
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of critical projects, including business discretionary, mandatory, and regulatory initiatives.
  • Chair and drive project and technology governance meetings, providing clear status reporting on progress, next steps, issues, and risks to all stakeholders.
  • Provide project and program oversight, manage budgets, and resolve day-to-day project issues and conflicting workload priorities.
  • Contribute to the formulation of strategies and processes for the Product Road map, Development, and Governance, and help define new standards and automation initiatives.
  • Supervise day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management, work allocation, and mentoring of onsite and offsite resources.
  • Partner with the business to define clear, documented functional requirements that adhere to Citi standards.
  • Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high-volume applications.
  • Conduct detailed business analysis to support strategic platform improvements and client requests, including scope definition and dependency mapping.
  • Coordinate with development, testing, and production support teams to plan releases and provide post-implementation support.
  • Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business; filter, prioritize, and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources.
  • Interact frequently with stakeholders at all levels, from junior analysts to senior management, across Front Office, Middle Office, Finance, Compliance, and Risk.
  • Develop communication to guide, influence, and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers.
  • Assist and support the user community with change management, ensuring release contents are understood by producing clear release notes and overseeing test case creation.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
