VP, Technical Platform Product Manager
About The Position
The Vice President, Technical Platform Product Management is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for defining, building, and scaling the company’s core technology platforms. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, data, and business strategy — owning the vision, roadmap, and execution of foundational platform capabilities that power enterprise products, analytics, and client-facing solutions. This leader will drive platform excellence, enabling rapid innovation, scalability, and operational efficiency while ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and customer needs. This position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon’s corporate office located in Tampa, Florida.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 12+ years of product management experience focused on technical platforms, infrastructure, or enterprise systems
- Proven leadership of platform product teams in complex, high-growth environments
- Experience leading AI-first product strategy and delivery
- Healthcare or health-tech experience
- Strong technical fluency with strategic and executional rigor
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills

Responsibilities
- Define and own the long-term vision for core technology platforms
- Translate business priorities into scalable platform capabilities, including AI-driven automation and intelligence
- Establish a modular, extensible architecture supporting advanced and traditional platform services
- Develop and manage platform roadmaps aligned with engineering capacity and business priorities
- Partner with Engineering to drive agile delivery and enable AI and product innovation
- Define and track success metrics such as adoption, performance, reliability, and quality
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data, Security, and Architecture leaders for cohesive platform development
- Serve as a translator between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Drive platform evolution supporting workflow automation, data ingestion, governance, and real-time insights
- Establish best practices for prioritization, documentation, lifecycle management, and governance
- Ensure high standards for scalability, reliability, efficiency, security, and compliance
- Drive platform adoption through strong internal and external user experiences
