About The Position

The VP/SVP, Patient Strategy is a highly experienced, senior-level, business-minded role within the organization as a champion for both Lumanity and our clients. The VP/SVP, Patient Strategy will be confident in a role that is the triangulation of: 1) patient strategy and patient voice, 2) client management and growth, 3) team leadership and direction. The VP/SVP, Patient Strategy will be able to flex between being front-of-room and engaged in client business and supporting internal Lumanity business operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience within a life sciences agency or patient advocacy, patient engagement or patient communication consulting firm or a combination of both.
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies.
  • Experience working directly with patient advocacy groups, patients, and /or KOLs within the patient space.
  • Prior financial management experience.
  • Ability to lead others, influence and collaborate in a matrix environment including direct team management experience.
  • Deep understanding of FDA and HIPPA guidelines as well as health literacy guidelines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clients with strategic insight and direction.
  • Cultivate strong, trusted, and long-term relationships with key decision-makers within client teams and develop in-depth knowledge of their organizations.
  • Have the ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of the account and make recommendations for change.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure continuity, quality, and smooth flow of deliverables.
  • Be able to accurately translate client needs into an action plan and mobilize the team to deliver.
  • Serve as the SME for patient engagement strategy and execution.
  • Lead strategic and tactical planning processes.
  • Stay up to date with current patient engagement, patient advocacy and patient communications/marketing trends.
  • Ensure creative and innovative thinking and solutions are brought to our clients.
  • Proactively participate in the visioning and direction of the MSC comms patient engagement offerings.
  • Oversee and understand client account and project financials, including contributing to budgeting and forecasting.
  • Demonstrate the fiscal acuity to lead a profitable business by negotiating budget needs, provide input while developing estimates, and directing the teams with smart financial management.
  • Provide accurate financial information to clients and internal Finance and Leadership when needed.
  • Identify, train, develop, familiarize, and reward global team members to Lumanity as well as to the clients.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews with team members as well as regularly provide feedback throughout the year, motivating and provide professional development support.
