About The Position

Dataminr is expanding its global footprint across the Public Sector and Defense domains. We are seeking a VP of Strategic Alliances to build, operationalize, and scale a high-impact partner motion globally. This role is responsible for the "cradle-to-grave" lifecycle of our partnerships—from identifying and recruiting priority Federal Systems Integrators (FSIs) and European Systems Integrators to executing long-term go-to-market strategies. Working at Dataminr you’ll have the opportunity to tackle the most exciting trends in AI on a daily basis to power a revolutionary product that uncovers critical events around the world as they unfold. You will serve as the primary point of contact for key partners, translating the value of Dataminr’s AI-powered Event, Threat, and Risk Intelligence Platform into actionable joint opportunities. Whether engaging with C-level stakeholders at global integrators or executing hands-on sales enablement, you will be the bridge that ensures smooth collaboration across pre-sales, sales, and delivery.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of proven experience in partner management, sales, or business development, working with Systems Integrators specifically focused on the Federal (Civilian and Defense) areas.
  • Deep understanding of the defense, military, or national security landscape, including procurement models, operational concepts, and organizational structures in both the US and Europe.
  • Solid experience working with complex software products, enterprise platforms, and AI-driven decision-support tools.
  • Familiarity working with major government distributors (e.g., Carahsoft) and large-scale systems integrators.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority across multiple organizations.
  • A hands-on operator who is equally comfortable with high-level strategy and tactical execution, such as portal access walkthroughs or partner reporting.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
  • Professional fluency in English is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional European languages are a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across sales, partner management, and solution teams within the global defense and government SI ecosystem.
  • Identify and recruit priority partners, establishing repeatable processes for onboarding, marketplace presence, and compliance.
  • Equip partner sales and account teams with clear, actionable knowledge of Dataminr’s products, value propositions, and differentiators through scalable training and playbooks.
  • Track and manage joint leads, aligning operating rhythms with internal sales teams and distributors (e.g., Carahsoft) to accelerate deal closure.
  • Coordinate annual and quarterly priorities, ensuring Dataminr’s offerings are positioned effectively within partner strategic frameworks.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Product, and Business Development to align partner motions with the product roadmap and field enablement needs.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting cadences to measure partner productivity and pipeline impact, while proactively managing and mitigating risks.

Benefits

  • Generous PTO and sick leave
  • Company equity
