VP, Product Strategy-Technology Workflows

ServiceNow•Santa Clara, CA

About The Position

The VP, Product Strategy is a senior individual-contributor role and strategic partner to the SVP of Technology Workflows and the business unit general managers and product leaders. The role has no direct reports and does not directly own a product line; impact comes through analysis, influence, coalition-building, and partnership. The position shapes the business’s view of market direction, technology shifts, and the competitive landscape, then translates those findings into evidence-based recommendations that guide long-term roadmaps, budgets, staffing, pricing, partnerships, and acquisitions. Technology Workflows includes Service Management, Operations Management, the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Asset Management, and Portfolio Management. The role owns and maintains the business’s multi-year strategic position as AI evolves, defines the market and its addressable opportunity, and influences pricing and packaging across the portfolio. It also leads inorganic strategy by sourcing and assessing acquisition, acquihire, and partnership candidates, developing a technical point of view, and coordinating product and engineering diligence. The role develops the partner and ecosystem framework across areas including observability, endpoint, operational technology, and systems integrators. The VP represents the business in executive and customer forums, including the CIO Product Advisory Council, the annual strategy cycle, and the twelve-month product roadmap review. The position works across Technology Workflows product areas as well as Platform, AI, pricing, finance, marketing, analyst relations, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy, and ServiceNow Ventures. Success requires deep technical knowledge of how enterprise technology estates are built, deployed, and operated; strong commercial judgment; exceptional written and verbal communication; and the ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority or a team.
