About The Position

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking an outstanding Vice President, Commercial Aviation Product Marketing to own the entire marketing lifecycle for a world-class portfolio and forthcoming AI platform. This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of product management, marketing, sales, and customer experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for product scoping, shaping, positioning, go-to-market strategy, and demand generation. This role requires partnership with product management and engineering from the initial stages of product concepts, architecture, packaging, monetization, and launch. The leader will act as an economist, engineer, translator, conductor, and dealmaker, driving sales, expansion, and renewals. This is a fully remote position open to candidates in all states, with a preference for applicants based in Austin or Denver.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of product marketing in B2B software, SaaS, data platforms, and aviation; 5+ years in senior leadership managing PMM teams.
  • Demonstrated track record owning full-lifecycle GTM.
  • Exceptional executive presence and ability to influence VP/C-level partners across Product, Sales, and Executive teams.
  • Strong positioning and storytelling skills — translating complex technology into compelling customer narratives.
  • Commercial acumen: think in revenue, pipeline, NRR, and competitive share.
  • Deep AI fluency — from market research to content acceleration and personalized sales enablement.
  • Aviation industry experience and genuine passion for it.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Commercial Aviation Product Marketing team, organized by pods aligned to commercial aviation product lines, pairing product marketers, content marketers, and campaign marketers, and partnered with product design, management, and sales.
  • Own the product lifecycle from birth through expansion, retention, and sunset, including audience definitions, monetization/packaging input, launch tier strategy, GTM planning, and expansion plays. Manage the launch control process.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering from Day 1, ensuring marketing shapes architecture, narrative, and design.
  • Deliver GTM Product Briefing Documents, PR/FAQs, launch tiers, and sales enablement for every major product moment.
  • Own GTM strategy and positioning for the commercial aviation portfolio: Crew and Fleet Planning, Operations, Flight Planning, and the Flight Deck.
  • Develop differentiated value propositions and messaging across buyer segments: airline executives, operators, dispatchers, flight crews, and IT.
  • Leverage competitive intelligence to sharpen positioning and identify whitespace opportunities.
  • Build sales tools, competitive battlecards, and vertical narratives to help commercial teams win, expand, and renew.
  • Partner with Customer Engagement Marketing on expansion and renewals.
  • Maintain VOC feedback loops into product roadmap and GTM strategy.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a product marketing team. Manage budget, agency relationships, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Establish operating cadences, playbooks, and KPIs across the organization.
  • Foster a culture that is customer- and AI-obsessed, fast and accountable, focused on expansion over vanity metrics.
