Role Overview The Vice President, Private Market Product Management supports the management of TDAM’s private market products, including real estate, infrastructure, and private credit strategies. Reporting to the Lead of Private Market Product Management, this role is responsible for ongoing product monitoring, positioning support, and lifecycle stewardship, ensuring products remain competitive, well-positioned, and aligned with client needs across distribution channels. The role operates within TDAM's product model and partners closely with: • Investment teams and Client Portfolio Management (CPM) to align product positioning with portfolio characteristics • Product & Marketing Intelligence to support product enhancements and implementation activities • Distribution and Marketing to support consistent and effective product positioning • TDAM Legal and third-party vendors to align product with regulatory requirements'

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in asset management, product, investments, or strategy
  • Strong understanding of private markets, including: Private credit, Real assets, Infrastructure
  • Familiarity with private market investment vehicles
  • Ability to interpret product performance and commercial metrics
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed, cross-functional environment

Nice To Haves

  • CFA designation or progress toward CFA
  • CAIA designation or progress toward CAIA
  • Experience supporting product lifecycle management or product development initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Monitor product performance relative to benchmarks and peer groups
  • Assess AUM, flows, fees, and positioning trends
  • Identify and escalate issues impacting competitiveness and growth
  • Maintain product positioning, target client segments, and use cases
  • Ensure alignment between product characteristics and client needs
  • Support consistency of positioning across private market strategies
  • Support ongoing management of the private market product shelf
  • Contribute to enhancements, repositioning, and rationalization activities
  • Assist in periodic product reviews and shelf optimization
  • Analyze competitor offerings and industry trends
  • Identify implications for product positioning and competitiveness
  • Provide input into potential product enhancements
  • Act as a key point of contact across Investments, CPM, Distribution, Legal, Risk, and Marketing
  • Ensure alignment between portfolio characteristics and product positioning
  • Support stakeholder discussions with accurate product information
  • Support product enhancement initiatives in partnership with Product & Marketing Intelligence
  • Contribute to positioning and commercial input for product changes
  • Assist with implementation activities as required
  • Ensure product offering documents remain current and aligned
  • Partner with the Product Offering Disclosure team on updates and changes
  • Participate in audit, compliance, and governance processes
