About The Position

Flourish is building the future of youth mental healthcare, providing comprehensive, team-based care for children, adolescents, and young adults with serious mental health conditions. Each patient is supported by an integrated care team. The company is seeking a VP of Operations to build the operating systems that allow Flourish to scale while preserving its culture, quality, and humanity. This role will ensure that operational functions like recruiting, onboarding, licensing, compliance, and credentialing work seamlessly to enable clinical teams to focus on delivering exceptional care. The VP will partner with leaders across the company to identify bottlenecks, strengthen the operating model, and continuously improve operations. This is a leadership role focused on inheriting and developing functional leaders to become exceptional executives as the company grows nationally.

Requirements

Experience leading operations at a high-growth startup, ideally from Series A through subsequent stages of scale
10+ years of leadership experience with a track record of building and scaling complex operational organizations
An exceptional people leader who develops leaders, builds high-performing teams, and creates strong management systems
Strong operational judgment, with the ability to identify bottlenecks, simplify complexity, and build systems that scale
Highly analytical and data-driven, with excellent business intuition and a habit of using metrics to improve organizational performance
Comfortable moving between long-term strategy and day-to-day execution in a fast-paced environment
Outstanding communicator who builds trust quickly and influences effectively across functions
Strong project and program management skills with exceptional organizational discipline
Experience with multi-state healthcare operations, licensing, compliance, or credentialing
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Lead the People Operations function through a Director of People Operations, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, manager development, fostering a positive culture, and building supporting people systems.
Lead the Clinical Operations function, partnering with clinical leadership to ensure care teams have the necessary operational infrastructure, including practice management, clinician onboarding, operational support for carepods, and performance metrics.
Lead the Licensing, Compliance & Credentialing function, overseeing clinician and organizational licensing, regulatory compliance, and health plan credentialing to ensure safe, efficient, and scalable operations across the country.
Build leaders who build leaders and create systems that become stronger as the company grows.
Ensure clinicians have an exceptional experience working at Flourish, managers feel supported, and operational infrastructure enables world-class care delivery.
