About The Position

The VP of Strategic Growth will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to identify, strategize, submit CON applications for new locations, lead strategic initiatives towards strengthening efforts in carrying out the Bristol Hospice mission and assuring long-term growth and sustainability. Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of experience in hospice/homecare management
  • Must demonstrate leadership in program development and operations management
  • Must possess the ability to provide business needs analysis and strategic planning with senior staff
  • Must demonstrate proven program/project/resource development and management
  • Must be results driven, team-oriented and an individual/organizational capacity builder
  • Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, marketing and public relations skills

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the executive lead for hospice Certificate of Need (CON) strategy, owning the process from market evaluation through application support.
  • Proactively identify, research, and evaluate CON-regulated markets, including assessing timing, competitiveness, and strategic fit.
  • Present market opportunity analyses and CON recommendations to the President & CEO and executive leadership.
  • Lead and execute stakeholder engagement strategies to support CON applications.
  • Secure letters of support from hospitals, health systems, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), physician groups, and other key community partners.
  • Build and maintain C-suite–level relationships (CEO, COO, CMO, CFO) critical to CON approval and long-term strategic alignment.
  • Manage and mentor team members and/or external resources supporting outreach, relationship development, and letter-of-support coordination.
  • Serve as a senior organizational representative during CON application reviews, hearings, and regulatory interactions.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, legal counsel, consultants, and operations to ensure alignment between CON strategy and organizational growth objectives.
  • Translate approved CON initiatives into sustained strategic partnerships and referral opportunities post-approval.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of organizational objectives.
