  • Deep hands-on engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set product vision and strategy based on customer engagement, market research, and company objectives, presenting evidence-based proposals to leadership and the board.

  • Define outcomes before development begins, integrate instrumentation into launch scopes, and report on key metrics to assess product performance.
  • Oversee product marketing, including positioning, pricing input, launch communications, external roadmap, and sales enablement materials.
  • Directly manage the Director of Engineering and, through them, the broader engineering team, ensuring fluency in technical concepts for informed platform decisions and scope negotiation.
  • Own the discovery process, involving customer experience, sales, and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Partner with Customer Experience and Sales to gather customer and competitive insights, defining learning objectives and translating findings into market and competitor analyses.
  • Build and coach a product and engineering team of approximately 12 people, hiring and mentoring product managers.
  • Communicate the product roadmap and tradeoffs effectively to various stakeholders including engineers, executives, the board, and customers.
  • Document decisions and known issues in a company-wide accessible location.
  • Partner with subject-matter experts to reduce internal tooling costs and improve cost to serve (stretch responsibility, scope to be confirmed).
