About The Position

Paces is seeking its first VP of Product, reporting to the CEO and Co-Founder. This is a hands-on leadership role where the individual will own product strategy across three pods (Power, Risk, and Platform), build and lead the product organization, and remain closely involved in the details of product development, including writing specifications, participating in customer calls, and making critical decisions. The company's mission is to accelerate power development and transform how infrastructure is built using renewable energy, addressing the urgent need for climate-positive green infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in product management.
  • 3+ years leading product teams, including hiring and managing PMs through pod or group leads.
  • Experience taking a technical B2B product from early traction to significant scale (ideally $5M to $50M ARR).
  • Experience shipping AI products where accuracy is critical and users are domain experts.
  • Fluency with data-heavy products.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Experience with pricing and packaging strategies and their implementation.

  • Experience with geospatial, power, or simulation-heavy products.
  • Background in power, energy, data centers, or infrastructure.
  • Experience as the first product leader at a company and navigating the associated challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap for a platform that carries a data center or power project from market selection through siting, permitting, and interconnection.
  • Build and lead the product organization, hiring and coaching Product Managers.
  • Develop and implement metrics to drive AI-forward products that customers use frequently.
  • Gain deep customer understanding by spending time with hyperscalers, data center developers, IPPs, and renewable developers, translating their needs into actionable roadmaps.
  • Ship agentic AI products, setting standards for evaluating agent quality, handling failure modes, and determining human involvement.
  • Write clear specifications, memos, and updates that effectively communicate product direction.
  • Develop and implement pricing and packaging strategies.
