About The Position

At OQC, we aren’t just theorising about the future; we’re building it. Born from a philosophy of bold innovation, we’ve successfully transitioned quantum computing from an academic dream into a commercial reality which includes OQC deploying the first quantum computer in the AI Data Centre in New York. As VP of Product Management, you will define and drive OQC’s global product strategy aligning roadmap, go-to-market execution, and commercial priorities with market demand. You’ll bring market insight, customer perspective, and commercial focus to executive decision-making, helping shape how OQC translates advanced quantum technology into real-world impact. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role reporting to the [CTO/CPO], with responsibility for shaping and leading OQC’s product function as this grows in our US operations. You will work closely with the executive team, technical leaders, and commercial stakeholders to ensure product direction, roadmap decisions, and go-to-market plans are aligned to company priorities, customer needs, and execution capability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior product leadership role, within a complex or deep-tech environment
  • Experience in quantum computing, advanced computing, or another highly technical emerging technology sector
  • Strong track record of defining and executing product strategy and go-to-market plans in partnership with executive stakeholders
  • Experience using market intelligence, customer insight, and competitor analysis to shape roadmap and commercial decisions
  • Commercial acumen, including exposure to pricing strategy, revenue alignment, and business planning
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
  • Experience leading senior customer conversations and influencing executive-level stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the business externally
  • Ability to operate effectively as OQC’s senior presence in the US, including supporting local operational needs and compliance considerations

Responsibilities

  • Define and own OQC’s product roadmap and go-to-market strategy in partnership with the [CTO/CPO] and wider leadership team
  • Lead market research, competitor analysis, and customer insight to inform strategic decision-making across the business
  • Align product priorities, pricing strategy, and commercial goals with revenue plans, budgets, and forecasts
  • Guide executive decision-making on product opportunities, risks, timelines, and resource trade-offs
  • Represent OQC in strategic customer engagements, particularly in the US and financial services market
  • Champion OQC’s product vision, technology, and roadmap with customers, partners, investors, and the wider quantum community
  • Build and lead customer-centred solutions architecture capability aligned to OQC’s growth plans
