About The Position

Remora is seeking a VP of Operations to build, lead, and scale our end-to-end operations as we transition from R&D into production of complex, real-world industrial systems. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role owning supply chain and manufacturing, plant-operations, quality control, field service, and facilities maintenance. As a member of the executive team, you will work closely with the CEO on scaling operations, solving real-time challenges, and driving rapid and efficient growth. We're building modular carbon capture systems for vehicles — turning exhaust into beverage-grade CO2 sold to breweries and greenhouses. We deploy in regions facing severe CO2 shortages, where prices are highest, allowing us to generate high margins without tax credits or carbon credits. We've signed up some of the largest companies in the world to pilot our technology, including iconic multibillion-dollar brands, top trucking companies, and some of the most recognizable Fortune 100 companies. We’ve raised multiple rounds of funding from top investors like Lowercarbon Capital, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and Valor Equity Partners.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in operations leadership within industrial environments (preference for industrial gas, chemical processing, oil and gas, or similar)
  • 4+ years of management experience across both salaried and hourly roles
  • Experience owning plant or production performance with a strong track record of high uptime and throughput with exceptional safety
  • Strong understanding of managing quality systems, field service, and maintenance
  • Strong operator mindset with a hands-on approach, comfortable troubleshooting issues in real time, and driving resolution across teams.
  • Preferably experience starting up new plants and guiding new technologies from R&D into production and commercial operation
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex issues across manufacturing, assembly, and plant floor operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own and scale Remora’s end-to-end operations, including supply chain, manufacturing, plant operations, quality control, field service, and facilities maintenance.
  • Manage Remora’s supply chain and manufacturing team, including relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers and setting strategic direction
  • Own performance and safety across all operating Remora plants, including managing onsite operators and building scalable plant systems and processes
  • Lead CO₂ operations and logistics, including coordination with CO2 buyers, dispatching CO2 pickups, and monitoring storage tank levels
  • Manage Remora’s quality program for beverage-grade CO2 and build a quality management system for Remora’s production processes
  • Own planned and unplanned maintenance for all Remora systems in the field
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Sales, and Finance
  • Act as the central operator across the business, driving execution, resolving bottlenecks, and scaling systems to support growth
