The Role We're looking for a VP of Finance to own our financial function end to end. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the founders. You'll be equal parts strategic partner and operator — building the models and infrastructure that guide the business while also rolling up your sleeves to close the books, run analyses, and answer hard questions with data. This is a startup, not a corporation. You'll build the finance function rather than inherit one, wear multiple hats, and thrive on ambiguity. If you want a large team and mature processes on day one, this isn't the role. If you want ownership, proximity to decisions, and real impact, read on.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a finance leader (VP Finance, or senior finance operator), ideally with startup or high-growth company experience.
• Genuinely hands-on — comfortable owning both the strategy and the spreadsheet. No task is beneath you.
• Strong command of modern finance and business tooling — you're fluent in today's SaaS finance stack (e.g., ERP/accounting, FP&A, billing, BI) and comfortable working closely with a technical team and their systems.
• AI-forward — you actively use AI tools to work faster and smarter, and you look for ways to automate and augment the finance function rather than throw headcount at it.
• Excellent judgment, low ego, and high output. You do great work with minimal oversight in a fast-moving environment.

Nice To Haves

• Fintech, lead gen/marketing, or financial services experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own financial strategy and planning — build and maintain the financial model, drive budgeting and forecasting, and give the founders a clear line of sight into unit economics, and growth.
• Run the finance operation — accounting, month-end close, cash management, AP/AR, payroll, and audit readiness. You set up the systems and, early on, often run them yourself.
• Be the numbers partner to the founders — turn ambiguous questions into rigorous analysis, pressure-test decisions, and help set priorities.
• Lead fundraising and investor relations — support capital raises, manage the data room, and own board and investor reporting.
• Own compliance, tax, and risk — keep us clean and audit-ready as a company operating in the financial services space.
• Build for scale — stand up the tools, controls, and (eventually) the team that let finance keep pace with the business.
