About The Position

The VP of Finance provides division management and Corporate with timely and accurate financial management expertise, statements, reports, forecasts, and analyses. The role performs accounting services, establishes division accounting policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with corporate policies and generally accepted accounting principles. The VP partners with the Division President and oversees financial planning, budgets, accounting, project financing, payment processing, and cash management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
At least 5 years of accounting experience through the controller level.

Nice To Haves

Experience in real estate development and/or production building.
CPA or CMA certification.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Division President to ensure division activities align with division and corporate objectives and comply with corporate policies and procedures.
Prepare annual financial plans, development and financing proformas, and packages.
Prepare tax and audit information as needed by the Company.
Establish and review budgets for land development, homebuilding, marketing, and administrative expenses.
Generate financial analyses of existing and prospective developments.
Determine appropriate allocation procedures, transfer prices, and amortization rates to ensure absorption of costs.
Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
Administer project financing, including preparing budgets, draw requests, reports, and repayment of interest and principal.
Oversee invoice processing to ensure accurate and timely payment in accordance with contracts and budgets, and ensure property is protected from mechanics liens.
Ensure proper classification of revenues and expenses.
Manage cash.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
