Iterative HealthBoston, MA

About The Position

Iterative Health is a healthcare technology and services company focused on accelerating clinical research to improve patient outcomes. They operate a network of over 100 research sites globally and utilize AI to connect sponsors with research teams. Iterative Health is building the infrastructure for the next generation of clinical research and is seeking a founder-minded operator to establish and lead a new non-interventional, biological specimen collections research business. As the Vice President, Non-Interventional Research, you will have end-to-end ownership of this new business. Your responsibilities will include defining strategy, driving commercial growth, building operational infrastructure, and achieving financial performance. This role offers significant autonomy and accountability, requiring you to build the business from concept to scale. You will be responsible for developing the go-to-market strategy, establishing operational excellence, and building a high-performing team. The ideal candidate is a proven builder with experience launching and scaling healthcare services businesses in entrepreneurial environments, motivated by creating a lasting impact on patient care and clinical research.

Requirements

  • BS/BA or higher degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in general management, operations leadership, or a highly strategic and operational role, including but not limited to direct P&L or business unit ownership.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling a business or business unit from the ground up — including standing up new capabilities, managing vendors, and driving commercial pipelines.
  • Proven people leadership experience with a track record of building, developing, and scaling teams through periods of growth.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-stakes workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills — able to represent the business credibly with sponsors, vendors, and senior internal stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating with significant autonomy and building structure in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in management consulting or a high-growth startup environment.
  • Experience in life sciences, clinical research, or healthcare services — particularly in biological specimen collections studies.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial operations, site network management, or sponsor engagement.
  • Experience working in a healthcare technology or multi-site research organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own full P&L accountability for the non-interventional research business, including revenue, cost, and margin performance.
  • Own the go-to-market strategy for Iterative Health's non-interventional research business — defining the service offering, target customer segments, competitive positioning, and path to scale.
  • Work with Life Sciences to scope the collections service model, establish pricing frameworks, and develop the materials and narrative needed to bring the offering to market.
  • Partner with the Life Sciences team to develop and progress a pipeline of collections studies, supporting sponsor engagement and proposal development.
  • Identify and size the resourcing, infrastructure, and capability requirements needed to support the strategy and inform investment decisions.
  • Lead the end-to-end build-out of the non-interventional research business — standing up operational capabilities and establishing the processes and infrastructure needed to execute at scale.
  • Work cross-functionally with site operations leaders and executive leadership to identify and onboard the right sites and networks to stand up and support collections studies across different therapeutic areas and specialty networks.
  • Own vendor contracting and relationships, including selection, negotiation, onboarding, and ongoing performance management for all collections-related vendors.
  • Own execution quality and sponsor satisfaction on active collections studies, serving as the senior point of escalation and ensuring trials are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Define and track KPIs across the business; use performance data to identify gaps, course-correct quickly, and communicate progress to senior leadership.
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team including pre-screeners, central Clinical Research Coordinators, and a Clinical Operations Manager — setting clear performance targets and maintaining a high-performance culture.
  • Set the operational tempo for the team — running structured operations, maintaining visibility into study and team performance, and driving accountability at every level.
  • Performs related duties as requested.
