About The Position

The Vice President & Managing Director, Technology Collaboration serves as the strategic leader and trusted advisor for participating Farm Credit associations engaged in the CentRic Technology Collaboration (CTC). Locations other than East Lansing may be considered. This role helps associations align on shared technology priorities, identify opportunities for collaboration, and maximize the value of collective investments while maintaining each association's independence and decision-making authority. Rather than directing individual technology strategies or overseeing day-to-day program execution, the Managing Director influences outcomes through strategic leadership, governance, relationship building, facilitation, and consensus. The role connects executives, technology leaders, governance bodies, and industry partners to strengthen collaboration, drive innovation, and ensure participating associations achieve greater value together than they could independently.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in Information Technology, Information Services, or a related technology leadership role.
Executive-level communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Proven ability to influence and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong relationship-building skills with executives, technology leaders, vendors, and industry partners.
Ability to navigate complex organizations and balance competing priorities.
Deep knowledge of technology strategy, digital transformation, IT governance, and technology investment planning.
Expertise in multi-stakeholder governance and collaborative leadership models.
Strong understanding of technology trends and their business implications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and modern business technologies.
Exceptional skills in facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional leadership.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice To Haves

2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
5+ years of Farm Credit experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted advisor to association executives and technology leaders on technology strategy, digital transformation, innovation, and risk management.
Monitor emerging technology and industry trends, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
Identify opportunities to leverage shared capabilities, investments, and best practices across associations.
Provide strategic guidance, facilitation, and problem-solving support to leadership teams.
Foster collaboration among participating associations, GreenStone, and Farm Credit partners.
Facilitate discussions that align priorities and build consensus around shared technology initiatives.
Help stakeholders navigate competing interests while maintaining focus on collective outcomes.
Ensure leaders have visibility into significant technology opportunities, decisions, risks, and dependencies.
Represent participating associations within CTC governance bodies, committees, and working groups.
Act as a liaison between associations, GreenStone, and other Farm Credit organizations.
Build strong relationships with industry partners, vendors, and technology leaders to identify innovative solutions and best practices.
Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership.
Support the evolution of CTC governance, operating models, and decision-making frameworks.
Provide executive-level support and escalation guidance for major cross-association initiatives.
Help resolve issues involving strategy, funding, prioritization, governance, or stakeholder alignment.
Maintain organizational continuity and institutional knowledge across strategic initiatives.
Review shared technology budgets, forecasts, and investment proposals to assess business impact.
Advise leadership on technology investment decisions, cost drivers, and financial trade-offs.
Promote transparency, reduce duplication, and maximize the return on collaborative investments.
Partner with participating CEOs to continually enhance the effectiveness and value of the collaboration.
