If you’re a close but not exact match with the description, we hope you’ll still consider applying. Want to learn more about life at Klaviyo? Visit klaviyo.com/careers to see how we empower creators to own their own destiny. At Klaviyo, we’re Built Different: a company of builders who take ownership, operate with candor, and believe we’re 1% done. That mindset shapes how we think about the experiences and technology that help Klaviyos connect, communicate, and do their best work. We’re seeking a Production & Collaboration Technology Lead to own the strategy, team, and technology experiences that power how Klaviyos connect, collaborate, and come together. The ideal candidate is equal parts technical operator and experience builder: someone who can define a global vision, create the systems and standards to deliver it, make thoughtful technology investments, and be capable of executing at an exceptionally high bar.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in live production, broadcast, audiovisual technology, collaboration technology, or a related field
  • Equally comfortable defining a long-term technology strategy and rolling up your sleeves when an important production needs help.
  • Strong experience with core technologies/applications such as Jamf Pro, Okta, 1Password, Google Workspace, and Atlassian Product Suite (Confluence/Jira), with an emphasis on how they integrate with AV systems.
  • Familiarity with OfficeSpace, Freshservice, Greetly, Zoom or similar workplace management applications, and their role in optimizing AV resource allocation.
  • Deep enough technically to lead experienced production and AV professionals and make informed decisions about architecture, systems, vendors, and investment.
  • A strong operator who builds systems rather than relying on individual heroics.
  • Experienced managing complex budgets, vendors, technology lifecycles, and cross-functional programs.
  • An excellent communicator who can translate technical complexity into clear decisions for executives and non-technical partners.
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable taking ownership when the stakes are high.
  • Energized by building something better. You challenge legacy approaches, simplify complexity, and continually raise the bar for both the technology and the experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global strategy and roadmap for production, audiovisual systems, conference rooms, collaboration technology, digital signage, and related infrastructure.
  • Set the standard for how Klaviyo produces high-profile company moments including executive meetings, town halls, broadcasts, internal events, and hybrid experiences.
  • Ensure Klaviyo’s collaboration technology environment is intuitive, reliable, scalable, and built around how Klaviyos actually work.
  • Partner with Communications, Workplace Experience, Events, executive leadership, IT, Networking, Security, and other teams to align technology investments with company priorities.
  • Own production and collaboration technology budgets, vendor strategy, equipment lifecycle planning, and major technology investments.
  • Establish clear operating standards, service expectations, metrics, and accountability across the function.
  • Use operational data, incident trends, production retrospectives, and employee feedback to continuously improve the experience.
  • Guide AV and collaboration technology strategy for new workplaces, renovations, studios, and major infrastructure projects.
  • Build scalable systems, playbooks, standards, and processes so excellent execution is repeatable rather than dependent on heroics.
  • Create clarity around priorities and resource allocation, particularly when production demands, technical issues, and project work compete for the team’s attention.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for critical production and collaboration technology issues while empowering the team to own problems and make decisions.
  • Stay close enough to the work to maintain strong technical judgment. You don’t need to operate every show, but you understand the craft well enough to coach the team, challenge assumptions, and make sound decisions.
