The Vice President of Hyperscale Delivery is responsible for leading the execution of DC BLOX's hyperscale development portfolio across multiple concurrent campuses and regions. This executive is accountable for the safe, predictable, and scalable delivery of large-scale mission critical data center programs from preconstruction through customer turnover. Working closely with executive leadership, Design & Engineering, Development, Procurement, Operations, and Customer Delivery, this role establishes the construction execution strategy, develops organizational capability, and ensures consistent delivery of world-class hyperscale facilities that meet customer commitments for schedule, quality, safety, and cost. The VP serves as the executive leader responsible for construction delivery across a portfolio representing multiple billion-dollar capital programs and establishes the operational framework necessary to scale DC BLOX into a leading hyperscale developer.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of construction leadership experience.
  • 10+ years leading mission critical or hyperscale data center programs.
  • Executive leadership experience managing multiple concurrent large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for portfolios exceeding $1B in construction value.
  • Proven success leading geographically distributed construction organizations.
  • Experience working directly with hyperscale cloud customers.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning, operations turnover, and customer acceptance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Construction organization responsible for delivering multiple simultaneous hyperscale campuses exceeding 120MW each.
  • Develop organizational capability, succession planning, and leadership development for Regional Directors, Construction Directors and Project Leadership Teams.
  • Establish the operating model, governance structure, and performance standards for construction delivery across all hyperscale projects.
  • Drive a culture centered around safety, execution excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Own executive responsibility for delivery of all hyperscale construction programs from Notice to Proceed through Final Completion and Operations turnover.
  • Maintain executive oversight of schedule, cost, quality, safety, commissioning readiness, customer commitments, and operational acceptance.
  • Balance resources across multiple campuses and regions while maintaining predictable delivery performance.
  • Identify portfolio risks early and implement mitigation strategies before impacting customer commitments.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to establish long-term construction strategy supporting company growth objectives.
  • Participate in development planning to ensure construction execution aligns with market expansion plans.
  • Provide executive input into capital planning, annual budgeting, staffing forecasts, and execution capacity.
  • Support the site due diligence team’s activities for acquisitions, new markets, and power procurement.
  • Establish executive relationships with strategic General Contractors capable of supporting national hyperscale deployment.
  • Develop preferred partner strategies across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, commissioning, and specialty trades.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Engineering to develop procurement strategies for long-lead equipment and prefabricated solutions.
  • Drive contractor performance management through executive scorecards and continuous evaluation.
  • Serve as executive construction representative for hyperscale customers throughout project execution.
  • Lead executive-level project reviews and strategic customer meetings.
  • Ensure customer commitments are translated into executable delivery plans.
  • Support commercial pursuits by providing construction expertise during customer diligence.
  • Develop enterprise standards for construction execution across all regions.
  • Implement standardized project controls, reporting, scheduling, forecasting, and risk management processes.
  • Champion Lean Construction methodologies, prefabrication, modularization, and digital delivery tools.
  • Establish KPIs that measure portfolio health, execution predictability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for capital deployment across multiple billion-dollar construction programs.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting of project costs, cash flow, staffing requirements, and schedule performance.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering and lifecycle cost optimization without compromising reliability.
  • Participate in contract strategy, major negotiations, and executive commercial decisions.
