About The Position

Mercer Advisors is looking for a rare operator — someone who can think strategically, move fast, and get a lot done. As VP of Sales Enablement and Operations, you'll sit at the center of one of the most ambitious client development builds in the wealth management industry, responsible for three of the most critical levers in our growth engine. This is a purpose-built role designed for where we are going — not a backfill — created to bring structure, visibility, and momentum to a Growth organization that spans Client Development and Marketing. This is not a role for someone who manages from a distance. You'll roll up your sleeves every single day — building roadmaps, coordinating conversion programs, running operating rhythms, and leading a high-performing central Revenue Operations and Enablement team. You bring clarity to complexity, urgency to problems, and follow-through to everything you touch. You'll directly lead the Central Revenue Operations and Enablement team — a four-person team that spans both operational infrastructure and field enablement. Beyond your direct team, you'll orchestrate the broader network of shared services and program managers who keep the Client Development organization running. You'll also serve as a key operating partner within the broader Growth leadership team, which spans Client Development and Marketing program leads. This VP role facilitates and operationalizes decisions — you bring visibility, sequencing, and follow-through. Decision authority sits with Growth leadership.

Requirements

  • Rare operator — someone who can think strategically, move fast, and get a lot done.
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves every single day — building roadmaps, coordinating conversion programs, running operating rhythms, and leading a high-performing central Revenue Operations and Enablement team.
  • Ability to bring clarity to complexity, urgency to problems, and follow-through to everything you touch.
  • Directly lead the Central Revenue Operations and Enablement team — a four-person team that spans both operational infrastructure and field enablement.
  • Orchestrate the broader network of shared services and program managers who keep the Client Development organization running.
  • Serve as a key operating partner within the broader Growth leadership team, which spans Client Development and Marketing program leads.
  • Facilitate and operationalize decisions — bring visibility, sequencing, and follow-through.
  • Own the master roadmap for the Growth organization.
  • Own portfolio governance: intake, visibility, sequencing, and capacity management across initiatives.
  • Partner with program managers and shared services teams across the broader Growth organization.
  • Maintain a live view of what's in flight, what's at risk, and what needs a decision.
  • Design and own the meeting cadences, agendas, and operating rituals for the Client Development organization.
  • Track key initiatives across the organization.
  • Produce clear, concise leadership updates and board-ready materials.
  • Directly manage 4 members of the Revenue Operations and Enablement team.
  • Set priorities for the central revenue operations team on a weekly and quarterly basis.
  • Build a team that operates with urgency, precision, and a bias for action.
  • Drive execution through structured two-week sprints.
  • Own the RVP onboarding and training experience.
  • Serve as the deployment lead for new tools, programs, and processes.
  • Lead the people side of significant organizational shifts.
  • Partner with the Head of Client Development to grow the Revenue Operations and Enablement function.
  • Own the conversion improvement roadmap.
  • Drive cross-program coordination across all conversion drivers.

  • Surface blockers quickly and clearly.
  • Report on conversion progress, trends, and opportunities to Growth leadership on a regular cadence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the wealth management industry.
  • Experience with client development and marketing organizations.
  • Experience with technology, and analytics.
  • Experience with data analytics and full-funnel conversion reporting.
  • Experience working with RVPs, Managing Directors, and advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Own the master roadmap for the Growth organization — tracking all active programs and projects across Client Development, Growth programs, and shared services, sequencing rollouts, and ensuring shared resources are applied in the right order.
  • Portfolio governance: own intake, visibility, sequencing, and capacity management across initiatives — facilitating prioritization decisions with Growth leadership, not making them unilaterally.
  • Partner with program managers and shared services teams across the broader Growth organization — including initiatives that span Client Development, Marketing, Technology, and Analytics — to facilitate cross-functional coordination, align priorities, remove dependencies, and ensure initiatives progress efficiently.
  • Maintain a live view of what's in flight, what's at risk, and what needs a decision — surfacing that picture to leadership clearly and consistently.
  • Design and own the meeting cadences, agendas, and operating rituals that keep the Client Development organization aligned and moving forward.
  • Ensure the right conversations happen at the right time — weekly team syncs, monthly program reviews, quarterly roadmap sessions, and annual planning cycles.
  • Track key initiatives across the organization, ensuring accountability, follow-through, and visibility for senior leadership.
  • Produce clear, concise leadership updates and board-ready materials that reflect the state of the Client Development organization.
  • Directly manage 4 members of the Revenue Operations and Enablement team — spanning both operational infrastructure and field enablement — providing clear direction, active coaching, and a culture of high performance.
  • Set priorities for the central revenue operations team on a weekly and quarterly basis — ensuring the team is working on the highest-leverage activities.
  • Build a team that operates with urgency, precision, and a bias for action — you set the standard and model it every day.
  • Drive execution through structured two-week sprints — keeping the team focused on the highest-priority work, moving with urgency, and maintaining clear accountability for what gets done each cycle.
  • RVP onboarding and training — your team builds and owns the onboarding experience that gets new RVPs productive quickly and aligned to how we work.
  • Rolling out new capabilities — serve as the deployment lead for new tools, programs, and processes, ensuring field teams understand, adopt, and leverage what's being launched.
  • Driving change management — lead the people side of significant organizational shifts, including new technology rollouts, compensation plan changes, and territory design.
  • Partner with the Head of Client Development to grow the Revenue Operations and Enablement function over time, making the case for investment where it's needed.
  • Own the conversion improvement roadmap — a prioritized, sequenced, and living view of what's being worked on, what's at risk, and what needs a decision to move forward.
  • Drive cross-program coordination across all conversion drivers — Proposals, Training, High Value Opportunities, and Performance Coaching — ensuring these programs are sequenced well, not working at cross-purposes, and that blockers get surfaced and resolved quickly.
  • Partner with the data analytics team — who own full-funnel conversion reporting — to stay current on conversion trends, risks, and program-level performance, and translate that data into clear leadership updates that identify where the system needs attention.
  • Talk regularly to the field — RVPs, Managing Directors, and advisors — to understand what's holding up conversion in real time, and bring those insights back to the program leads who own the levers.
  • Surface blockers quickly and clearly — escalating where decisions are needed, and ensuring nothing stalls because the right people weren't in the room.
  • Report on conversion progress, trends, and opportunities to Growth leadership on a regular cadence — producing a clear, concise picture of where we stand and what needs attention.
