About The Position

Proofpoint is seeking a VP, Global Shared Services to define and lead the global HR Shared Services strategy, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. This role will oversee HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability. The VP will establish and manage service delivery standards, including SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics, and develop multi-year roadmaps to modernize and scale HR shared services globally. They will continuously assess and evolve the operating model to meet changing business and workforce needs. This includes designing and implementing scalable, efficient HR processes and service delivery models, leading the evolution of the HR technology ecosystem to enable automation, self-service, and an improved employee experience, and partnering with HR and cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and reduce complexity. The role also involves identifying and implementing opportunities for digital enablement and process optimization, ensuring data integrity, security, and governance across all HR systems and processes, maintaining compliance with global employment laws, regulations, and data privacy requirements, and leveraging data and analytics to generate insights, inform decisions, and improve operational performance. Additionally, the VP will establish controls and standards that ensure consistency and mitigate risk globally, and build, lead, and develop a high-performing global HR Shared Services and HRIS organization. This includes leading through other leaders, scaling capability, accountability, and impact across regions, and partnering closely with HR centers of excellence, HR Business Partners, and cross-functional leaders including IT, Finance, and Legal. The VP will serve as a strategic advisor on HR operations, shared services, and employee experience, and navigate global complexity and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders, regions, and business units.

Requirements

  • 10 plus years of experience in HR operations or related fields
  • 5 plus years in senior leadership roles
  • Proven experience leading global HR shared services or operations functions in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Proven ability to lead through leaders and scale high performing global teams
  • Experience driving multi year transformation roadmaps, including process, technology, and service delivery evolution
  • Demonstrated success managing global complexity across regions, regulatory environments, and stakeholder groups
  • Experience operating within a tiered Shared Services model, including self service, case management, and SLA driven environments
  • Strong understanding of global employment laws, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Strategic and systems thinker with the ability to design and scale HR operations
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and partner at senior levels
  • Deep expertise in HR systems, process optimization, and service delivery models
  • Data driven mindset with strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and operational excellence
