About The Position

Lumos is seeking a VP/SVP of Finance to help the company reach $100M ARR. This role directly reports to the CEO and will be instrumental in shaping the company's financial strategy and operations as it prepares for its Series C funding round. The ideal candidate will have experience as a #2 or #3 in Finance at a $100M+ private company or as the Head of Finance at a growth-stage company, with a proven track record of closing funding rounds and building capacity models for enterprise go-to-market strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive transformation, is AI-native, possesses strong analytical skills, and excels at both high-level decision-making and detailed execution. Requirements

  • Served as the #2 or #3 in Finance at a $100M+ private company, or as the Head of Finance at a growth-stage company.
  • Experience closing a significant funding round.
  • Experience building a capacity model for a sales-led enterprise GTM motion.
  • Proven ability to drive transformation, not just optimization.
  • AI-native, using tools like Claude daily and having automated manual tasks.
  • Strong ability to catch errors and a keen sense for when numbers don't add up, balanced with knowing when to let operators make decisions.
  • Skilled in both detailed execution and high-level strategic decision-making.
  • Proven ability to hire effectively.
  • Experience operating at a strategic level within a company.

Responsibilities

  • Build the financial blueprint to take Lumos from its current state to $100M ARR over the next three years.
  • Lead the pricing transformation from seat-based pricing to a model suitable for an AI tool, charging for agents and AI identities.
  • Build a high-leverage Finance team that utilizes AI to operate efficiently.
  • Run a disciplined Finance operation with clean numbers, controlled spend, and maintained banking and compliance.
  • Act as the financial voice in cross-functional partnerships with the Head of Sales, Head of Engineering, COO, and CEO.
  • Own investor relations, board updates, and banker relationships to ensure readiness for future funding rounds.
