About The Position

The VP, Engineering, T-Ads oversees software development and infrastructure operations for T-Mobile’s T-Ads portfolio. The role is responsible for the scalability, reliability, and technical architecture of the portfolio’s platforms. Working closely with Product leadership, the VP delivers roadmap features, maintains performance standards, and manages system uptime. The position also unifies engineering cultures and practices across integrated teams to support T-Mobile’s strategic objectives and technological excellence in advertising solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles, including platform-scale architecture.
7–10 years of experience managing teams responsible for uptime, scalability, and performance.
4–7 years of experience operating in complex, integrated product environments.
Expertise in system design, software development, and technical operations.
Strong leadership in agile engineering environments with cross-team dependencies.
Ability to build technical strategies aligned with long-term product and business goals.
At least 18 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering Management, or a related field.
PhD in Computer Science or Engineering.

Responsibilities

Oversee platform architecture and lead development across the portfolio of products.
Partner with Product teams to deliver roadmap items efficiently and with technical excellence.
Implement engineering best practices, team structure, and development workflows across the organization.
Ensure infrastructure stability, security, and performance in line with SLAs and compliance standards.
Build and manage a high-performing engineering team that fosters technical leadership and innovation.
Participate in other duties or projects as assigned by business management.
