The American Heart Association has an exciting opportunity for a Vice President, Development, in our Northern New England market, preferably based in Southern Maine (Portland or surrounding area). In this role, you will report to our Executive Director. As a player/coach, you help lead the market’s development team, along with managing the Maine Go Red for Women campaign and your own portfolio of donors and sponsors. Responsibilities include ensuring that market revenue goals are achieved through engaging volunteers and staff in mission-based fundraising campaigns. This position will be home-office-based, with external-facing engagement within the Northern New England market. The VP of Development will manage Fundraising Development Directors, mentoring them to achieve their fundraising goals and objectives, while building a network of meaningful volunteer partnerships with corporate and community leaders to improve fundraising efforts. They will engage volunteers in opportunities to apply their passion and expertise to further the organization's mission in a substantial way. We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets and triggers.
