Bombora•New York, NY
•$145,000 - $225,000

About The Position

Bombora is seeking a seasoned business development executive with strong organizational and management skills and an existing network of contacts at businesses such as publishers, associations, and event operators. The role will develop strategic partnerships that expand the footprint of Bombora’s market-leading data co-operative, which is foundational to the company’s offerings. The position owns full-cycle partnership development for new co-op data sources across the US, from sourcing and qualification through pitching, negotiation, and close. It also builds pipeline in categories where Bombora has a non-endemic value proposition, supports partner onboarding and time-to-value, represents the co-op externally, and maintains pipeline forecasts in Salesforce. The role requires regular domestic travel and occasional international travel.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of business development or partnerships experience in digital media, data, or adtech, with a track record of closing complex, non-transactional deals.
  • An existing network among publishers, associations, event operators, or community and platform businesses.
  • Familiarity with data collection and tagging mechanics, including pixels, consent, data clean rooms, and identity resolution.
  • Demonstrated success selling to and negotiating with C-level and senior executives at media, platform, or technology companies.
  • Experience opening a category from a standing start by building pipeline without existing relationships or a proven pitch.
  • A consultative approach and ability to discuss a counterparty’s business model and how a proposal fits into it.
  • Working knowledge of the B2B marketing landscape and how marketing and sales teams use intent data.
  • Willingness to travel domestically regularly, with occasional international travel.
  • Fluency with Salesforce, Google Workspace, and AI tooling in daily workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Build pipeline in categories where Bombora has a non-endemic value proposition.
  • Learn customers’ technology stacks and workflows, validate client workflows, and engage appropriate support and technical resources when necessary.
  • Hand off signed partners cleanly to onboarding and drive time-to-value, including advising partners on using Bombora data in their own go-to-market.
  • Represent the co-op at conferences and onsite meetings with senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate, predictable pipeline forecasting in Salesforce.
