About The Position

GTE Financial is seeking a Vice President Community Financial Center Regional Manager to lead its community financial centers. This role involves guiding branches to achieve sales and revenue targets, ensuring an outstanding member experience, driving growth, managing change, and supporting the team in helping members achieve their financial goals. The Vice President is responsible for leading a team of Managers to meet sales, service, and revenue objectives, overseeing branch operations, human resources, and performance management. The role also includes active participation in community activities and market involvement to promote GTE Financial's brand, products, and services. The Vice President will provide direction aligned with GTE's Vision, Mission, and Values, focusing on brand strengthening, market share growth, increased member share of wallet, and optimal member experience. A key aspect of the role is ensuring the flawless execution of organizational strategies and initiatives, demonstrating the ability to embrace change and translate strategy into action to foster commitment and enthusiasm at the branch level.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required; commensurate years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum ten years of experience with at least five years of progressive management experience within a financial institution (experience in the Credit Union industry is a plus) or a combination of education and experience.
  • Proven sales management skills with a history of achieving outstanding results.
  • Ten years of prior retail bank /credit union lending experience.
  • Must have a team-oriented work style and be a consensus builder.
  • Must be a self-starter with the confidence to deal effectively with a growth-oriented Executive Management Team as a Team Member.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
  • Experience in the Credit Union industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the optimal member experience is delivered.
  • Oversee and manage branch operations, human resource, and performance management.
  • Actively support the team in targeted community activities and market involvement.
  • Be an active member of the community at the district level, promoting GTE Financial and its products and services.
  • Provide direction consistent with GTE’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Strengthen GTE’s brand, increase market share and member share of wallet, and deliver the optimal member experience.
  • Manage to ensure the flawless execution of organizational strategies, initiatives, and changes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to embrace change and translate strategy into action to build commitment and enthusiasm at the branch level.
  • Establish routine visits to CFCs to track and understand the direct market and staffing needs.
  • Establish sales and revenue plans and objectives and manage for results by defining high expectations for their self and branch teams.
  • Lead and manage the sales and revenue planning process, adjusting plans and forecasts as required to ensure the district meets or exceeds all performance goals.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor managers and branch staff by equipping them with the sales, service, and advice skills and disciplines necessary to deliver holistic advice and guidance to our members to improve their financial health and well-being.
  • Provide strong leadership to the team to promote a culture of ongoing feedback, performance, and development discussions to enhance overall employee engagement and improve retention.
  • Routinely coach using the Integrity Coaching principles and Member Advantage philosophy, evaluate progress and provide frequent and timely feedback to the team.
  • Focus on business development opportunities in their districts.
  • Help GTE Financials’ brand awareness and work to own the community they serve.
  • Develop and enable an engaged, capable, and confident management team to implement programs and processes focused on building deep relationships with members.
  • Actively seek opportunities to recognize staff and share best practices.
  • Lead and support the successful roll-out of new products, services, and initiatives.
  • Work in close partnership with the Vice President of Branch Operations, Vice President of Business Banking, and other leaders to maximize district and branch-level opportunity across all key business drivers.
  • Develop and execute a deposit strategy to exceed growth goals in terms of deposit growth and cost of funds.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales goals and expand our member base, which includes active prospecting to build a short-term and long-term pipeline.
  • Maintain and adhere to risk management policy and procedures, ensuring managers and teams are up-to-date and in compliance.
  • Demonstrate functional knowledge of The Bank Secrecy Act, in addition to other Federal laws, including, but not limited to The U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and The Bank Bribery Act.
