About The Position

The CRM serves as the senior leader for a local banking market, responsible for driving strategic growth, profitability, and operational excellence. This role combines leadership, business development, and community engagement to ensure the bank’s success and reputation. The CRM acts as the face of the bank in the community, overseeing commercial lending, deposit growth, client relationships, and compliance, while fostering a strong team culture aligned with corporate values. The CRM plays a critical role in aligning enterprise strategy with local market opportunities while preserving the relationship-first culture of a community bank.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field required
  • Minimum 3–4 years of professional lending and management experience.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of the local market.
  • Proven leadership, business development, and sales track record.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to balance growth, risk, and culture in a regulated environment
  • Entrepreneurial approach aligned with a community bank mission

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree of advanced financial training preferred
  • Familiarity with SBA underwriting a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically with a strong attention to detail, standards, and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Drive balanced growth across commercial lending, deposits, treasury management, and consumer relationships
  • Identify new market opportunities, centers of influence, and strategic partnerships
  • Develop new business and expand market share through personal calling, networking, and cross-selling.
  • Develop and execute strategies for commercial, retail, and wealth management services.
  • Manage and grow a personal portfolio of high-value loans and deposits.
  • Recommend new products and services to leadership to assist in their development and implementation.
  • Own and execute the Bank’s market strategy, translating enterprise goals into clear local priorities
  • Lead, coach, and develop market-level lending, operations, and retail teams
  • Set clear expectations, performance goals, and accountability standards
  • Foster a customer-focused, positive culture aligned with the bank’s core values.
  • Attract and retain top talent aligned with community banking values
  • Provide direction for loan officers within your market, ensuring the highest credit quality and compliance.
  • Conduct interviews, administer counseling, and manage disciplinary actions per HR policies.
  • Serve as the bank’s visible representative in the community, attending events and building relationships.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key commercial clients, prospects, and community leaders.
  • Champion the bank’s brand and values locally.
  • Monitor competitive dynamics and adjust tactics to maintain strong market positioning
  • Establish CRA goals within your market to accomplish overall bank objectives.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and compliance standards.
  • Develop and implement local budgets, marketing plans, and strategic initiatives to accomplish goals in your market.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and other departments to meet overall bank objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to all bank policy, regulatory, and audit requirements
  • Ensure sound credit underwriting, portfolio management, and early identification of risk
  • Maintain strong asset quality while supporting prudent growth
  • Accountable for market P&L, growth targets, and efficiency metrics
  • Track performance against budget and strategic plans
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership
  • Position will have direct reports assigned in the market.
