About The Position

The VP, Addressable Media leads WPP Media's omnichannel addressable practice, orchestrating integrated activation across Programmatic, Connected TV, Paid Social, Search, SEO, Retail Media, and Commerce to client deliver business outcomes. This leader supports the vision for how WPP Media plans, buys, measures, and optimizes addressable media as a single integrated activation discipline. They lead a cross-functional team of channel specialists and activation leads, embedding AI-assisted workflows, and data activation into every client engagement. Partnering with agency leadership, clients, and WPP Media's specialized service teams, the VP represents the future of addressable at client tables and in the industry. They develop next-generation leaders, own P&L performance, and drive adoption of WPP Media's unified operating model across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership of integrated omnichannel or cross-channel teams at scale.
  • Strong commercial acumen - P&L ownership, pricing, and margin management.
  • Fluency in the 2026 addressable ecosystem: programmatic, CTV, retail media, commerce media, paid social, search, clean rooms, identity frameworks, and AI-assisted activation.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI and agentic workflows to media planning, activation, and measurement.
  • Executive presence: outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills for C-suite audiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills across client, agency, and publisher stakeholders.
  • Systems thinker who can translate strategy into operating models, processes, and team structures.
  • Keen attention to detail paired with comfort operating at senior strategic altitude.
  • Proven people coach and mentor
  • Creative, analytical, and relentlessly curious about where media is going next.
  • 12+ years of related industry experience, preferably agency: Programmatic, Paid Social, SEM, eCommerce required
  • CTV/OLV and Retail Media required
  • SEO, Clean Room / data collaboration experience strongly preferred
  • 10+ years demonstrated client relationship leadership.
  • Experience leading integrated omnichannel or multi-practice teams through transformation.
  • Demonstrated exposure to AI-enabled media workflows and modern measurement (MMM, incrementality)

Responsibilities

  • Lead a unified omnichannel team covering Programmatic, CTV/OLV, Paid Social, Search, SEO, Retail Media, Commerce, and emerging addressable channels
  • Architect integrated activation plans that connect audiences, creative, and measurement across the full addressable mix
  • Operationalize WPP Media's unified addressable operating model: shared audience frameworks, cross-channel optimization, and a single measurement lens.
  • Define how teams use AI-assisted and agentic workflows to plan, activate, optimize, and report
  • Serve as the senior addressable voice on agency leadership teams and in client conversations.
  • Identify and win new business opportunities within existing clients and in new-business pitches, leading with integrated addressable strategy.
  • Partner with clients to translate business objectives into measurable addressable strategies spanning performance, brand, and commerce outcomes.
  • Build trusted, executive-level relationships that bridge client, agency, and WPP Media stakeholders.
  • Own escalation and issue resolution for complex, cross-channel addressable engagements.
  • Lead platform and publisher JBPs on behalf of agency clients, driving preferred-partner value back into portfolios.
  • Support and shape WPP Media's point of view on the 2026+ addressable landscape: identity and signal loss, CTV/addressable TV convergence, retail media networks, commerce media, AI-driven activation, and measurement modernization.
  • Educate clients and internal teams on how integrated addressable investment drives incremental outcomes versus single-channel buying.
  • Represent WPP Media externally at industry events, in the trade press, and with platform and technology partners.
  • Generate proprietary ideas, IP, and case studies that differentiate WPP Media in the market.
  • Own P&L performance for the addressable practice within WPP Media's portfolio: profitability, billings, revenue, and cost-to-billings ratio.
  • Manage budgets and re-forecasts; drive automation and offshore leverage to improve margin while protecting quality.
  • Lead addressable strategy and activation narratives in new-business pitches.
  • Partner with WPP Media's specialized service teams to bring organic growth proposals forward across Retail Media, CTV, Commerce and SEO.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of omnichannel specialists, GADs, and activation leads — building cross-channel fluency alongside deep channel craft.
  • Mentor next-generation senior leaders in data-driven, AI-enabled addressable media.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that retains top talent and attracts new practitioners to WPP Media.
  • Partner with People and Talent teams on workforce planning, hiring, and structured development paths.
  • Position WPP Media as the authority on omnichannel addressable through planning, speaking, publishing, and media relations.
  • Drive visibility through industry events, associations, awards, and platform partnerships.
  • Elevate WPP Media talent and case studies in agency-wide forums and external communications.
