About The Position

Unpaid volunteer contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare in various roles. Come join our Volunteer Team! At Utah Valley Hospital, patients, families, and guests are our first priority. We ask volunteers to commit to six consecutive months, serve 3-4 hours once a week, and communicate regularly with the Volunteer Services office. After you apply and complete an interview, you may select an available position and shift that work best with your schedule. New volunteers begin with a choice of several information desk positions for their first three months. After completing that initial period, volunteers may remain in their position or request an available opportunity in Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Department, Gift Shop, Critical Care, Hospital Runner, Information desk, Operating Room Runner, or Wound Care. Placement options vary, and some areas may be unavailable when all positions are filled. Please note that the comprehensive volunteer onboarding process may take two to three weeks, depending on your availability to complete the required tasks.
