About The Position

This is an unpaid volunteer position contributing time to Intermountain Healthcare in various roles. Volunteers provide service to patients, visitors, and staff and support a variety of hospital departments. The role offers an opportunity to use personal talents, meet new people, and make a difference in people’s lives.

Volunteers are expected to commit for six months and serve at least one 3–4 hour shift each week, with exceptions for vacation or illness. The program seeks enthusiastic, dedicated volunteers committed to providing exceptional service.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Commit to six months of volunteering and a minimum of one 3–4 hour shift each week, except for vacation or illness.
• Able to work alone and independently.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Physical mobility, including walking, bending, and standing.
• Adequate hearing and vision.
• Sensitivity to patient and family situations.
• Pass a background check.
• Agree to receive a TB test.
• Meet immunization compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and support to patients, visitors, and staff.
