About The Position
Serenity Hospice is seeking unpaid volunteers in Wyoming Valley, Pennsylvania, to support patients and their families. Volunteers help enhance patients’ lives by providing companionship, offering support to family members, assisting with bereavement support, and participating in creative projects such as quilting and knitting. Volunteer hours are flexible and tailored to availability, with ongoing training and support from the team. This is not a paid position.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and conversation to patients.
- Make support calls and provide updates to family members.
- Support families as they navigate grief.
- Create or assist with arts and crafts projects, such as quilting and knitting.
