The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association (CMFCAA) is a not-for-profit agency dedicated to educating, supporting, and advocating for foster, adoptive, and kinship children, youth, and families in central Missouri. We offer services and partner with community and governmental agencies to foster healthy and self-sufficient individuals and families. Currently, we support over 640 foster families and over 1400 foster children, along with over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our mission is to be a vital support system for families, children, and youth in this region, working tirelessly to provide essential services. The primary duty of the Volunteer Department is to integrate volunteers who are passionate about our mission and the families we serve. We must be good stewards of all support, whether it be in time, talent, or treasure. The Volunteer Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the organization has sufficient volunteers to meet its service mission. This involves volunteer recruitment, training, and program planning. This dynamic individual plays a critical role in the success of our programs by recruiting, developing, training, and retaining volunteers to support CMFCAA’s various programs. They will oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of our ongoing volunteer programs, including planning, organizing, and supervising program activities. The Volunteer Supervisor works with Volunteer Coordinators and volunteers across all 24 counties served by CMFCAA to integrate volunteers into all aspects of the business to optimize resource utilization. Additionally, the Volunteer Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of volunteer event coordination and planning. They will be a strong advocate for our foster care education and community outreach efforts.
