About The Position

Change Grow Live is seeking friendly and reliable Reception Volunteers to provide a warm and welcoming first point of contact at their services in St Annes, Fleetwood, Nelson, Accrington, and Burnley. Volunteers will assist with greeting visitors, signposting individuals to services, answering basic enquiries, and helping to create a positive and supportive environment. This role offers an opportunity to build confidence, gain experience in a reception or support setting, and make a meaningful contribution to the community. Successful applicants must attend training in June, which will prepare them for the role and ensure they feel confident and supported. Change Grow Live values all volunteers, who contribute in various ways from Admin Volunteers to Service User Reps, Peer Mentors, Healthcare Support Volunteers, Independent Visitors, and Community Mentors. The organization is grateful for the unique skills and talents each volunteer brings to support service users. No special qualifications are needed for most volunteer opportunities, as all necessary training and support will be provided. The key requirements are kindness, an open mind, and a passion for supporting people. Everyone is welcome, and volunteers are treated with respect and acceptance. Personal experience of drug and alcohol recovery is not required.

Requirements

Be friendly and reliable.
Attend training in June.
Be 18 years of age or older.
Subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Scheme check at a basic level.
Be kind, open-minded and passionate about supporting people.
