The Reception role is responsible for managing the front desk operations, including answering phones, welcoming visitors, managing mail, and maintaining office supplies. This position also involves patient scheduling and registration within the Epic system, including verifying demographics and insurance, collecting necessary documents and co-payments, and assisting patients with MyChart sign-up and activation. The role requires maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality, prepping daily schedules, and reviewing work queues to correct registration errors. Additionally, the receptionist will utilize Epic waitlists, manage no-shows and cancellations, and perform cashiering functions, including daily balancing of their cash drawer.
