The Girl Scouts of Greater New York (GSGNY) is a leading youth development organization serving 16,000 girls ages 5–18 each year. Our mission is to ensure that every girl across New York City can develop the courage, confidence, and character needed to thrive. GSGNY delivers empowering programs in nearly every NYC zip code, from traditional troop experiences to STEM and robotics, leadership development, and meaningful community service. We also support unhoused girls living in shelters across the city and send 5,000 girls each summer to our beautiful camp in upstate New York. Through our iconic Cookie Program, Girl Scouts earn money for troop activities while building critical financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills. The focus of this position is to provide troop engagement, training, and support to our leaders/volunteer, and to be the primary point of contact for volunteers throughout assigned areas. Support ongoing strategies to gather leaders' input and identify needs for continued collaboration. Engage leaders on an ongoing basis. Engage with Service Units monthly. Encourage leaders to adopt the use of digital platforms such as the Volunteer Tool Kit, Looker, and gsLearn, and BAND Channel. Manage Virtual cohorts and ensure leaders and youth are identified for each opportunity. The goals is to provide support and resources to volunteers and troops so they can consistently deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Onboard new volunteers and ensure their overall satisfaction.
