About The Position

The Volunteer Coordinator nurtures volunteer support throughout the organization and grows the volunteer program, recognizing volunteers’ daily impact on patients, their families, and the organization. The role is accountable for understanding and promoting the hospital’s and department’s vision, mission, values, and standards. It also upholds customer-service standards and represents the agency enthusiastically while promoting its services. This position is designated safety sensitive under Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in the Health or Human Services field.
• Experience in a hospice, hospital, or community-driven organization.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Automobile liability coverage of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident for bodily injury.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, solve problems, and make decisions.
• Ability to handle critical and highly stressful situations efficiently and with composure.
• Ability to spend eight or more hours daily in front of a computer, monitor, or similar screen using a keyboard and/or mouse.
• Ability to regularly stand and walk; occasionally bend, squat, and twist; and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds using proper body mechanics.
• Keen hearing and visual acuity, with or without correction.

Nice To Haves

• Background in Volunteer Coordination.
• Basic medical and/or clinical knowledge.
• Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
