Volunteer - Athletic Coach - 2026-2027
About The Position
The Newton Community School District (NCSD) is seeking a Volunteer Athletic Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is available at either Berg Middle School or Newton High School, with a start date determined by the NCSD Director of Activities and Athletics. Applicants must possess a valid coaching endorsement or coaching authorization issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. The approval process includes a review by the NCSD Director of Activities and Athletics, interviews, and a criminal history background check. Upon approval, volunteer coaches must submit a copy of their Iowa BOEE Coaching Certificate, Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Certificate, transcripts from coaching classes, and a driver's license to Human Resources. A cover letter addressed to Laura Selover, Director of Human Resources, is required.
Requirements

Responsibilities
