About The Position

The Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator leads and oversees volunteer and community engagement programming, ensuring the consistent, effective, and mission-aligned involvement of volunteers and community partners in refugee resettlement services. This position is responsible for volunteer recruitment, training, program coordination, and data tracking, as well as the ongoing support and engagement of volunteers, interns, and service learners. The coordinator manages cultural mentoring and co-sponsorship programming, ensuring appropriate matching, communication, and alignment with client needs and program goals. The role also plans and executes community events and outreach strategies that increase awareness and participation in resettlement efforts. Additionally, the Coordinator builds and maintains strong relationships with community organizations, faith-based groups, and internal staff to enhance collaboration and expand program impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and two years related experience preferred; Candidates with two to four years of transferable work/volunteer experience may be considered.
  • Valid driver's license and personal auto liability insurance at the level of $100,000/300,000/100,000.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal staff, faith-based partners, and community organizations.
  • Maintain accurate records in the volunteer management database, track volunteer hours and donations, and produce monthly reports and communications.
