About The Position

The City of Prescott Recreation Services Department is seeking temporary Volleyball Scorekeepers and Sports Site Supervisors. Games are scheduled Monday through Thursday, with times potentially starting as early as 6:00 p.m. and ending as late as 10:00 p.m. Sports Site Supervisors will oversee the City's sports leagues on-site, as well as events and/or rentals at the Grace Sparkes Activity Center. The Adult Volleyball league runs from September to late November.

Requirements

Minimum age is 16 years old.
Must attend mandatory training sessions.
Good customer service skills.
Familiarity with sports rules or demonstrate ability and desire to learn.
Sufficient physical and visual ability to effectively and safely perform required duties and operate required equipment.
Ability to clearly, concisely, and effectively communicate in person and over the telephone.
Must pass a post-offer, pre-employment background screening including drug screening, motor vehicle records check, and criminal background screening.

Responsibilities

Keep the score book and operate the scoreboard for volleyball games.
Supervise the City's sports leagues on site or events and/or rentals at the Grace Sparkes Activity Center.
Communicate effectively in person and over the telephone.
